Some penis enhancers are better than others
Men who want to increase the length of their penis should start with noninvasive therapies like penile extenders first before considering surgery. For some men, psychological therapy might also be a better place to start. This is from Italian urologists who published their research in the British Journal of Urology International.
Marco Orderda and Paolo Gontero of the University of Turin discovered that extenders were the most effective of non-invasive options. They are better than vacuum devices, exercises and Botox injections. (I thought Botox caused paralysis – isn’t that a bit counterintuitive?)
“Based on current evidence, we suggest that penile extenders, not surgery, should be the first-line treatment for men seeking a penile lengthening procedure,” said Gontero, associate urology professor. “Surgery is characterized by a risk of complications and unwanted outcomes and lack of consensus among the medial profession on the indications for surgery and the techniques used. This is why a non-invasive technique s preferable,” he continued.
Naturally, Gontero said as a urologist he is approached by many men who are uncomfortable with the size of their penis, even though it falls within the normal range. Still, some men have a valid concern. Peyronie’s disease, prostate cancer and congenital abnormalities are very real and can leave a man with a shorter penis. Aggressive circumcision can also effect the appearance and length of the penis.
Just in case you are wondering, the average penis measured when flaccid is 4 cm and when erect is 7.5cm.
Go get your ruler. More on this tomorrow.
