Natural Care for Varicose Veins

Any woman will tell you how varicose veins will keep her in jeans in the blistering heat and fully covered when at the beach. Varicose veins not only, to us, seem incredibly unflattering but to some are a grave health concern as well. Sure, there are laser therapies and surgeries that can remove them (for a while), but aren’t there any natural things we can do to get rid of them?

For varicose veins, and anyone who has few to none of them, prevention is key. First and foremost, the older you get, the amount of time you spend standing should be lessened. If you do find yourself standing for long periods of time, then take a walk around to get the blood flowing. Try to reduce anything that puts pressure on your body, such as tight clothing and excessive weight, and keep your legs up! It’s all about keeping that blood circulating through your body.

To reduce inflammation: White Okay Bark, flaxseed oil, and omega 3’s are a great way to keep those varicose veins at bay.

To improve circulation: Try taking a vitamin C supplement, coenzyme Q-10, ginkgo biloba, gotu kola, capsicum, and butcher’s broom.

To soothe: witch hazel and vitamin E creams are fantastic soothers for varicose veins.

You may also want to consider purchasing one or two pairs of “compression stockings” to keep those veins at bay.

If regular exercise and these natural methods do not help, you may want to consider going for “surgical removal” or endovenous laser ablation which as far as the science community knows are still relatively safe and harmless to our bodies. Do remember that these come with their own risks, so be sure to weigh out the risks and benefits before taking such measures on your body.
