Five things you must not leave behind!

What do you forget when you travel? For me, it’s never the important things. I always remember my travel documents, appropriate clothing, and my favorite pillow. But I am guilty of forgetting the things that make my life better and easier, just like a lot of other people. Here are five of the most common items left out of the luggage:
1.

Toothbrush.

You brush your teeth with the best intention of putting it away in your travel bag, but some habits are hard to break. Back into the cup or drawer it goes.
2.

Cell phone charger.

Not only forgetting to take it on the trip, but forgetting to unplug it at the hotel and take it back home. And don’t forget the chargers for all the handheld devices (Kindle, iPad, DS) as well as your camera. Particularly important for parents.
3.

Medicines and supplements.

Do you take a vitamin pack in the morning and at night? Do you have prescription drugs you take throughout the day? It’s highly likely you will remember the morning doses but not the night. Or you’ll remember prescriptions, but not supplements which can be just as important. And don’t forget the Flintstones Multivitamins for the kids.
4.

Cash.

With ATMs everywhere it’s not such a problem. Unless you want to tip the bag guy at the airport on your way out.
5.

Eyewear.

If you leave early in the morning or later after the sun has set, you may forget to grab your shades on the way out the door. For me, it’s reading glasses. I put on my driving goggles for the road and leave the reading glasses on the bed stand.
