For do-it-yourselfers: Marijuana Superstore

joint relief

Taking advantage of Arizona’s new medical marijuana laws, a clever California businessman has opened that state’s first ever marijuana garden center. It didn’t take long for the locals to start referring to it as “Home DePot” and “Wal-Mart of Weed”. The 21,000 square foot garden center is meant to cater to those home growers who need some of their 2,000 products and instruction for successful growth of pot for medical treatment.

“We sell everything but the plant itself,” explain Dhar Mann, found of weGrow, the company that began in Oakland and Sacramento, California before branching out of state. “We sell the products and the services for people to safely and responsibly cultivate their medicine.”

They sell everything from soil blends to grow lights to irrigation systems. There is also a doctor on site who can provide the initial medical approval needed to apply for state health certification - only to those who qualify.

The opening of the store was set to coincide with the state’s release of permits to sell medical marijuana, but there has been a hold up at the capital. Arizona has gone to federal court to clarify whether or not their citizens will be at risk for federal prosecution. This is the case in California.

Records show that 3,696 people have applied for medical marijuana licenses seeking "joint relief".
